    • Not so much a film about child abuse, rather a story of a child finding strength when her world is turned upside down.  Terrific performances from the 2 young leads and directed with great sensitivity.

    • An outstanding portrayal of a damaged child. Very emotional.
    • A remarkably assured début from Zelda Samson as “child-woman” Dalva. Haunting, unsettling and unforgettable.
    • One of the most humane films I have ever seen. Marked by superb performances. And the perfectly judged transition from pseudo woman to child was a joy to behold.
