Synopsis:
A journey over the walls that divide England, to explore the age-old debate of land and power, amid the fight for greater access to nature.
Do we need far more access to the English countryside? According to Orban Wallace’s cogent and committed, if sometimes frustrating documentary, the answer is a resounding ‘obviously’.

Film Notes:
This film shows us a campaigning group with a simple, reasonable aim: to give walkers in England and Wales the same rights that people have had in Scotland, courtesy of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act of 2003. In Scotland, therefore, walkers have the right to temporary, non-motorised access – which is to say walking, cycling and camping, carried out responsibly – to most land, public or private. These rights have now existed for some time without the apocalyptic end to the countryside as we know it. But Scotland isn’t England, or Wales for that matter.
