An outstanding film from Iran that has won countless awards including the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar. Remarkable ensemble acting, it examines universal issues regardless of nationality, religion or politics. A series of events leads a disparate group of people from different educational, religious and social backgrounds into making choices that we can all empathize with, but which have serious consequences. To quote Renoir, “Everyone has their reasons”. A very humane drama: moving and thought provoking. It gives an insight into ordinary lives in Iran. Not to be missed.
