In Director Lynne Ramsey’s vivid adaption of Lionel Shriver’s Orange Prize-winning novel, Tilda Swinton plays Eva who has put her career as an adventurer aside to raise her son Kevin. However, the relationship is difficult from the very first years. As Kevin, brilliantly played by Ezra Miller, gets older his problems magnify and Eva is left grappling with her own feelings of grief and responsibility for the horror that eventually unfolds and how she constructs a life for herself afterwards.
