How many shades of grey in Iceland? So few words, so many images – total cinema. A journey through existence, veering between the profound and the mundane.

Superb – real Film Club film – without the dog though…? Still great!!

For a long time, I wasn’t sure where the film was heading (except, ultimately, Eyrarbakki), but the dénouement was worth the wait. Excellent soundtrack.

Brilliant score. I also loved the juxtaposition of the white Ford Cortina. Good laugh.

I loved the attention to detail. A great sense of period. Lots of references to “Blow Up” – a
sort of antithesis. You always hurt the one you love.

I went from not really enjoying it to loving it from about 30% of the way through. Bonkers,
lovely & with a dog & great story!

Thoughtful & wry film – will stick with me.

A very different road movie! Very Icelandic. Great dog.

Dog should’ve got an Oscar.

Deliciously quirky and quietly affecting. Very much a film club film!

Very original with some memorable scenes & quite moving.

The power of knitting

[Very good] – not sure why!

Living in that bleak landscape would make anyone a bit crazy. Enjoyed the film as it was so different. Very interesting

Easy Rider it aint – but a road movie!
