  • Excellent storytelling, having the narrative repeated, each time from a different perspective, to gradually reveal the truth. Kore-eda rarely disappoints!
  • Very touching (as always).  I thought it was going to be like “The Hunt” – but it was still cleverer
    One of the finest filmmakers.

  • An absorbing study of perception, subjectivity and human foibles.  A comedy to those who think….?
  • Confusing at times.  Stunning performances – the contradictions of compassion, violence, parental detachment & childhood imagination.  Bravery of outsides & their mechanisms of survival??
