This should have been corrected by the Cramphorn’s projectionist and a larger image shown.

This film passed the Cramphorn Seat Test with flying colours! Following on from ‘The Big City’, I reflected on how ‘child acting’ has changed in 50 years or so – the child in TBC glancing at the camera: presumably too costly or not thought significant to do another take. Winterberg getting that performance from the little girl! Shame about the ‘odd format’, but it didn’t spoil the evening for me.
