Chelmsford Film Club was founded in 1988 and now has around 200 members. Apart from screening a regular season of films, we organise special events such as film seasons and film festivals which are sometimes attended by directors and other crew/cast members. The club works on a membership basis and is run by a committee which each year, aided by a members' poll, selects and screens a programme from the best of recent English language and foreign films.

The annual subscription of £29 covers admission to all films at no further cost. Members may bring a guest for £4 but guest tickets can only be sold 15 minutes before the start of the screening and places for guests cannot be guaranteed. Films start at 8pm. All films are shown on 35mm and are subtitled if they are in a foreign language.

New membership and membership renewal will take place from about the last week in August.
