12 year olds Koichi and Ryanosoke live apart, in north and south Japan, separated by their parents’ divorce. Koichi’s dream is for his family to be united again. He overhears a story about a new bullet train line, soon to be opened, linking the regions, and that the energy released when the first trains pass by each other will grant wishes. He starts to believe that a miracle could happen. With some friends, the two brothers begin a journey, each hoping to witness the miracle.

The moving and deeply satisfying work of a director who just keeps on getting better.
